Exercising to help relieve pain

There are many important factors to think about when you are exercising to relieve pain! It is not always black and white. Here are some examples that you are making progress with your pain management:

  • Your range of motion increases

  • The frequency of your pain may decrease

  • The duration of painful episodes may decrease

  • The intensity of the pain may decrease

  • The location of your pain may decrease

  • Your endurance may increase

  • Your sleep quality is better

  • Your day to day tasks are more manageable

There are plenty of ways to measure progress as you can see! Remember, this is a process that takes time. There is no overnight magic fix. If there was, I would give it to every single one of my clients.
