Recovery is without a doubt the single most overlooked factor when it comes to the gym. I do not care how hard or often you workout; If you are not recovering, you will not see great results.

The easiest way to eat better is to focus on one simple rule. Aim to eat 20-30 grams of protein every meal. Reaching this goal alone will help you eat more protein than you are used to and will give you the nutrients necessary to recover from your workouts. Protein is best derived from meat but can also be sourced from beans, eggs and Greek yogurt. If you feel like you are sore for more than a few days and you are not seeing the results you hoped for. Focus more on your recovery! Shoot for 20-30g of Protein every meal and document all of your improvements.
